Both Kevin Dowling '07 and Erik Dowling '09 left indelible marks on St. Francis High School, their teammates, classmates, friends, and  family.  Their valiant battles against cancer taught us all how to embrace our challenges, and carry on with strength and determination to live a life doing what we love.  Both Kevin and Erik were hard-hitting, power house linebackers who gave it their all on every single play. Being competitive by nature both brothers pushed each other and their fellow St. Francis Brothers to be the best they can be on and off the field. 

They lived life like a true Golden Knight. You could always count on Kevin to pump you up with an encouraging "you got this" speech and Erik always cheering his team up through the good times and laughs he provided in the locker room. 

Both loving football, Kevin put his heart into coaching football, and enriched the minds and hearts of so many young players during his time.  Erik followed his passion by playing his Freshman year in college.  Their way, their example, teaches us how to live DowlingStrong; the number 55 in tribute to both of their jersey numbers during their playing years.  In their memory, The Dowling, Ventrella, family along with the SOS Group have established this endowed scholarship so that Kevin and Erik's spirit may live on through future Golden Knights.
