Dear SF Family,
Preserving Our Scholastic Heritage has been a tradition at St. Francis for over four decades. It in an integral part of who we are, not only from a financial sense, but equally due to the sense of community that it fosters. It is something that we look forward to each year.
That said, the recent events surrounding the spread of COVID-19 have affected many organizations all over the world, and St. Francis High School is not immune to its impact. While we do NOT have a confirmed case of COVID-19 within our immediate community, out of an abundance of caution, and with great regret, we have decided to cancel this year’s event scheduled for March 21.
MiniPOSH remains critical to our financial and community framework, however the health and safety of our constituents is paramount, and our decision to forego this event speaks to the value we place on you and your families.
We are most grateful to our sponsors, registered guests, vendors, volunteers, and all who have been a part of planning this event over the last few months.
With that said, please note the following plans in response to our decision:
Grand Raffle will go on: The drawing will be held. If you have not purchased your raffle tickets, please do so for a chance at the grand prize.
Registered Guests, see below for options:
Option 1: Convert reservation to a gift. We will provide you with an accompanying gift acknowledgement.
Option 2: Refund:You must express, in email, your request for refund to: bsloyan@sfhs.net by March 31, 2020. After that date, all reservations will be converted to “gifts” and we will generate a gift acknowledgement per above. (Refund checks will take 2-3 weeks to process.) *Parents: If you’ve not completed your MiniPOSH participation gift, your reservations will be allocated to fulfill this requirement before any reimbursement can be made.
Silent Auction/SF Gear: We have collected a number of gifts-in-kind intended to be auctioned, as well as unique SFHS gear intended for sale at the event. Our goal is to retain these items, and present them to you in the future, at a time when we can come back together as a community.
In the meantime, we thank you for your patience, understanding, and prayers. We also ask that you keep those who are immediately and directly affected by this virus in your prayers as well. Thank you for your continued support for St. Francis High School. Know that you remain in my prayers, and those of my Capuchin brothers, the Board of Directors, the faculty and staff.
Yours in Jesus and Francis,
Fr. Tony Marti, OFM Cap.
